Lone Star Bravio
Bravio x Cherish Seeker
1997 Andalusian-Arabian cross Gelding

Lone Star Bravio is by the Andalusian, Bravio and out of a Crabbet-bred Arabian mare. He was purchased from Marilyn Gordon of Corpus Christi, TX after a long search for the perfect Half Andalusian. He was barely broke, but magical. He is pure white, with a metallic sheen that we are sure he inherited from his sire, Bravio, who carried the rare Pearl gene. He is game to try anything new, afraid of nothing (although he sometimes pretends to be terrified, just to keep us on our toes); learns much too quickly and knows way too many English words; and has selective memory loss--we call it his ADD (Andalusian Deficit Disorder.)

After a few seasons of lightly showing him on the Arabian show circuit, we decided on a whim to try showing him on the Andalusian circuit, where he has amassed an impressive number of National and Reserve National Championships, including National Champion Saddle/Pleasure Horse, National Grand Champion Half Andalusian Geldings (Open and Amateur), National Champion Half Andalusian English Pleasure Amateur, Half Andalusian Country English Pleasure Open, National Champion Half Andalusian English Show Hack Open, National Champion Half Andalusian Vintage Rider, and National Champion Half Andalusian Costume. His first year alone at the National Show in Ft. Worth, he garnered a jaw-dropping 5 National Championships!

Lone Star Bravio continued his multi-year winning streak in 2011 - Reserve National Champion Half-Andalusian English Pleasure Amateur, National Champion Andalusian/Half-Andalusian Saddle Seat Equitation (with Jr. Exhibitor Sophie Brown,) and Top 5 Half-Andalusian English Pleasure Hunt Seat Open (with Dawn Anderson.)

KA Especial
Amistad SL X Banbury Elena
Purebred Andalusian Mare

KA Especial, aka Tres, is owned by Leah and Myles Strid of Calwood, MO. She was bred by Kir-Aim Andalusians. In the summer of 2010 Leah brought her to Leigh Anne for breaking and training.

A few short months later, after less than a dozen rides, Leigh Anne showed this mare to her first Reserve National Championship in Purebred Dressage Suitability!

Palida
Palido x Zorra
Purebred Andalusian Mare

After boarding at Showtime Equestrian Center with a family horse for a number of years, Palida’s future owners were ready to begin the search for a show horse. One of their favorite horses in the barn was Lone Star Bravio so their search began for a Half-Andalusian gelding. Instead, they found a beautiful Purebred Andalusian Mare. She was named Palida, by Palido out of Zorra. She showed the promise of her full sister Cereza, who won best movement at Ft Worth in 2007. They instantly fell in love with her. They brought her home and gave her the name Lily as a barn name, and her training began and she showed all the talent they were looking for. During her first year at Nationals in Ft. Worth in 2009, only started under saddle for a short time, she received two Top 5 ribbons. At the 2010 Alliance Nationals she received 3 National titles and 2 Reserves. Her potential and talent is now shining and her son, Cobalto (See the Sales page) is beginning to shine as well.

Selwood Park Victoria, aka Bella Noche
Half-Andalusian Mare

This breathtaking young Andalusian-Saddlebred cross, owned by the Adees, is just starting under saddle. She was named National Grand Champion Partbred Best Movement at her first show in St. Louis in September 2010.

Imperiosa CVIII
Imperioso D x Minerva MAC
2007 Purebred Andalusian Mare

Imperiosa CVIII, AKA Rosa, is the star of Corona Real’s mares. She was purchased from Sherry Martin of Martin Farms in TX as a 2-year old. She was the result of an intensive year-long search for a mare to become the cornerstone of our Andalusian breeding program.

In the fall of 2009, we took her to Ft. Worth and presented her in front of the Spanish judge, The Honorable Mercedes Gonzales Cort in the Spanish Fillies (2y/o and under) class. From a highly competitive class of 13 mares, she was named National Champion!

She repeated that honor in 2010 in St. Louis when she was named National Champion Filly by the Spanish judge, The Honorable Florencio Moreno Moreno. In fact, she got the highest score of all the ANCCE entries at that show! Sr. Moreno commented particularly on the quality of her head and neck, and the harmony of her body overall. At that show she was also named National Grand Champion Purebred English Pleasure Saddle Seat Jr. Horse.

At the 2011 IALHA National Championship Show, Imperiosa was named Reserve National Champion Spanish Mares 3-4 yo, National Champion Andalusian Show Pleasure Driving Jr Horse, Reserve National Champion Andalusian Show Pleasure Driving Amateur, and National Champion Andalusian English Show Pleasure Jr Horse. This lovely mare is currently in foal to KA Tabasco. See the Mares page for more information on this spectacular mare.

AL Alegría
Escamillo x Makita
2008 Purebred Andalusian Mare

Alegría was purchased from Carlos Gaviria as a 2-year-old. We were impressed by her breeding and by her elegance, and have high hopes for her in the future.

At her first showing in St. Louis in September 2010 she was named National Grand Champion Purebred Best Movement Show Type.

At the 2011 IALHA National Championship Show, Alegria was named National Grand Champion Jr Mares 3 & 4yo and Reserve National Champion Andalusian English Pleasure Hunt Seat Open. She will be bred to KA Tabasco in 2012. See the Mares page for more information on this lovely mare.
