Description: Imperiosa CVIII, aka Rosa, is the star of Corona Real's mares. She was purchased from Sherry Martin of Martin Farms in TX as a 2-year old. She was the result of an intensive year long search for a mare to become the cornerstone of our Andalusian breeding program.

This mare has incredibly solid bone, fabulous movement, a remarkable calmness of temperament and a willingness to work that makes her a joy to train.

Imperiosa’s pedigree reads like a "Who’s Who" in the Andalusian world: she is sired by Imperioso D, grandson of the incomparable Leviton, one of the greatest PRE stallions of all time, and of Vasallo II who is very highly ranked in the ANCCE Book of Merits. Her dam also is a granddaughter of Leviton, and daughter of Clasico MAC who was Champion of Spain two years in a row.

Imperiosa CVIII is in foal to the fabulous KA Tabasco (see Stallions page). The foal will be eligible for participation in the Significant Sires Program©.

Description: This young mare was purchased from Carlos Gaviria. She is the daughter of Escamillo, the 2001 Grand National Champion Colt and 2006 National Champion Best Movement. Escamillo is a Leviton great-grandson, and typically stamps his offspring with both good looks and incredible movement, and Alegría has obviously been the recipient of both of these qualities.

On her dam side, Alegría’s pedigree contains some of the most respected names in the Andalusian breed, with Castiblanco III and Legionario III in the forefront.

Alegría has a lovely face, an elegant way of going, and a fluidity of movement that are mesmerizing, and not just to our eyes: at her first show she won National Champion Best Movement!

We plan to breed this mare to our very own KA Tabasco (see Stallions page for information.) The foal will be eligible for participation in the Significant Sires Program©.

Description: Mai Maria is the daughter of the incomparable Dutch Harness Horse Majesteit, himself the grandson of the famous World Champion Harlem Globetrotter. Her dam is a Strike (Aladdin x Bask dtr.) daughter with Negatraz on the female side. With a pedigree replete with such heavy hitters, it’s no wonder that Mai Maria is an exceptionally talented mare.

Mai Maria has been trained in Country Pleasure Driving and Country English Pleasure. Her foal by KA Tabasco (see Stallions page for information), CR Mai Tai (see Sales page) is the perfect cross of her talented parents- she has attitude and motion in spades.

Description: If you are looking for the perfect Arabian performance pedigree, look no further—Celaeno’s sire, MS Baquero (a Bask son), has a long list of Park Horse Championships to his credit. Her dam is a daughter of Gdansk (himself a many-time Park Horse Champion) out of Alegoria, a Czort daughter. With so much motion in her background, she should put her mark on her foals.

Celaeno was specifically chosen as the ideal cross to our Huckleberry Bey son, Rascal V. She has had two foals by that royally-bred stallion, the 2009 filly CR Unforgettable, and the 2010 filly CR Pandora. Sadly we lost Rascal this year, so there will be no more offspring of that cross, but we have great expectations of these two young fillies. Celaeno has a gorgeous filly, CR Electra, by her side.
